I was invited to contribute to Sound Days as part of Atmospheric Waves Festival in Liepāja, – the city where the wind is born. Located on the Baltic coast of Latvia, it is the perfect place to explore making instruments that are activated by the wind. Alongside 8 other workshops, a concert programme and lively discussions I collaborated with 7 students from RTU university to explore the creation of aeolian instruments over 5 days. It was a rich an creative time – here are some photos from our experiments on the beach, with varying wind conditions – but always windy!
