Aldeburgh Music

I am currently collaborating with the Aldeburgh Young Musicians Ensemble, a creative performance ensemble made up of exceptional young musical talent (under 18’s). For this, I am working alongside artistic director Jan Hendrickse to make bespoke visuals for the Ensemble’s live performances. Their debut will be at Latitude Festival on July 12th, followed by a concert at the Britten Studio on July 22nd at Snape Maltings. New works are being devised with composers Tim Steiner, Jan Hendrickse and Matthew Olden.

I am also collaborating with artist Bill Thompson on a project for the Aldeburgh Music Exchanging Worlds project, with Suffolk New College. We are working with a group of students on ideas relating to how sound travels through different materials and spaces using contact microphones and transducers. We will be creating a site-based installation at Snape Maltings using material gathered from musicians auditions for the Aldeburgh World Orchestra. Read more about the bigger project here.
